Welcome to M.A.P.H.S!

Welcome to the homepage of the Minority Association of Pre-Health Students, or M.A.P.H.S. for short, at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). M.A.P.H.S is an organization dedicated towards serving under-served populations, specifically those that suffer from health disparities as well as being a resource for those students interested in a career in the health field. Though the name says minority, by no means is the organization exclusive; all are invited and encouraged to join, the only thing we ask is that you participate in the activities we provide. We strive to provide our members with the knowledge, skills, and experience they will expect entering the health field. We offer our members opportunities to gain leadership experiences as well as utilize many resources that will help them matriculate through their undergraduate studies and to become a competitive pre-health applicant. We will offer general meetings and study halls, medical school tours, fundraising events, and many volunteer opportunities.
